I’m not kidding. I built an MCP server that surfaces our coffee catalog right inside the chat with an AI agent.
No more clicking around the website. No more digging through the catalog. Just a simple conversation: “I need coffee, what do you have?” And the agent recommends exactly what you need. ☝️ On top of that, it can save your preferences into a local file and quickly recommend — or order — coffee tailored to your taste.

🔧 Tech details
- Stack: TypeScript, Cloudflare Workers, Shopify Storefront API
- Tool definition context tokens ~850 (35% reduction after translating from Slovak to English)
💰 How much does it cost?
If I don’t count my time and the fact that we already run the e-shop on Shopify — nothing. The MCP server is just a small JavaScript file (or an npm package) that talks to an equally small file hosted on a Cloudflare Worker on the free tier. That’s it.
